The solution within
sterile, direct, efficientGlucose serves as the main carbonhydrate source in most cell culture technology. It's consumption rate shows a close correlation with the growth phases of the cells. Thus the glucose concentration in the medium may be used for controlling cell cultures.
CITSens Bio is the first and only system for online, in situ measurement of glucose, glutamate and lactate in cell cultures. Non-invasive, real-time analysis of the measurements relevant to the process takes place directly in the disposable reactor. This dispenses with costly, risky sample taking which disturbs the cell system and could lead to contamination. Cell culture sterility is guaranteed at all times.
Regardless of which types of reactor are used, CITSens Bio is suitable for all standard disposable reactors. The sensor is built into the corresponding original cap and delivered to the customer gamma-sterilised and ready for use.
The CITSens Bio sensor is connected to the radio transmitter CITSens Bio Beamer with a cable. The measured data are transmitted to the radio receiver ZOMOFI® and transfered to the PC by means of RS232 or LAN.
